I decided to get a dash cam since I do a lot of NYC driving and felt it was good to have in case an incident were to occur. I really wanted to like this dash cam as I am an owner of Escort’s Max 360. I love how it connected directly to it eliminating the need for extra cords but my dash cam had an issue with it’s SD card and any SD card where it simply would record. I reached out to support and they guided me to no avail. This along with the lack of features for its price point such as motion sensor recording was huge for me. Additionally, the quality was only “Okay” and it produced extremely shaky video even with the smooth ride of my e-class mercedes.
Ended up trying out the Vantrue N2 Pro which was the same price and it is such a better/more complete product. Video is amazing, silky smooth thanks to the mount no matter how bumpy the road, it offers a second camera, a built in screen, parking mode, and even basics such as speed overlays (need to buy a 20 dollar mount for gps).

Cam works great when paired with an Escort detector. Clean crisp video. I did have to purchase an additional bracket as I have a blend mount under my mirror instead of using the suction cup mount it cam with. Only complaint is, I wish you could access your dash cam videos without having to be connected to the cam.

I added this to my Max 360c MK-III, and it’s the total setup. Escort has really made a slam dunk with this camera. It’s video is so clear and super easy event recording with the 1 minute to 3 minute video run times. works super with the Drive Smarter app. Whatever Escort detector you have slap the M2 on it and have all your bases covered.

At this generation it should be at least 2k, 4k would be ideal especially for the price point. Gps integration is great. This does product purchase or ownership does NOT entitle you to Escort LIVE. Massive negative.

Outside of the drive smarter app reading the camera, what use are the .map files?
Speed to access via phone/app is abominable. Have patience. It shouldn’t be that way.
Videos are retained on the device, only able to view or download while connected to the device or take the sd card out. Tbh, should have upload to cloud via connected device.
I appreciate the pass through of the uniden oem coil cord mute button functionality.
