I’ll have to give a follow up after a couple months of usage. Installation wasn’t smooth. Even though it is pretty much plug and play, getting all the additional wire to fit was awful. It took several attempts to figure to do it all the while trying to be extremely gentle with the fragile looking plastic tabs that need to snap in place.
Setting up on IOS was a breeze. No issue. I am using a 128GB Samsung card and am able to do 3min loops at 4K. It looks really good. Remember to take the protective film off the lens too.
5-14-22: The quality of video is impressive. No issues to report. Only challenge is vehicle has to be on to download and at 4K it takes time and mobile data to do.

The housing is very tight so cables have to be positioned just right in order to fit. Cheap plastic. Broke two tabs while installing without much pressure. Reached out to costumer service which was just alright. They sent me a replacement housing. Followed the instructional video and housing was easy to replace. After I got everything connected and installed the unit wouldn’t power on. Now I’m dealing with costumer service again.

Instalation was a PITA but with patience it’s totally doable, other reviews are right that the cable is hard to route, timewise it was like 30 mins, the finish product is very good defenetly recommended

Install was a little tricky but after messing with the wire placement, I was able to get it to work. The video quality looks very good and seems to be working with no problems. I love that it fits into the car seamlessly and you can barely even tell you have a dash cam.

I don’t know about the 1 star reviews that this product is getting, but I use this dashcam on all of my cars, and I never had issues installing it on my 4Runner, it takes less than 2 mins to install this dashcam, and it looks clean and oem look, no wires to run from the headliner down the the aux power, I attached the pictures and the steps how i installed it properly.
remove the factory cover, then transfer the red clips to the FitcamX.
Unplug the factory harness, then plug in the harness from FitcamX to the module, then plug the factory harness to the FitcamX harness, then tucked it in as shown in the photo.
Place the power source cable in the headliner area, leave it outside of the cover.
Easily slide up the FitcamX into place, as you can see the the power cables are sticking out. this is ok.
Connect the power cable together.
Push it toward the headliner to hide it and out of sight.
