   I needed a dashcam with the Rav4 that I just purchased, but I hated how ugly dashcam are. I didn’t want wires running all over the place. Toyota has a dashcam option, but it is only a front facing camera and it still looks a bit tacked on.

   The FitcamX camera is exactly what I was looking for. Both cameras are high quality and everything just works. What I was a little worried about was that the installation instructions have you removing parts to shove wires. The good news is that everything was very easy to do, and then put back into place and it looks great. The only issue that I ran into was taking the mirror cover off. I would suggest pulling down on the cover and then putting your fingers inside to take off the secondary piece, instead of just trying to take of the secondary piece before pulling the cover itself off, as the video suggests.

   Overall VERY happy with this purchase. It’s definitely a bit more expensive than some generic camera, but it looks so much better.

   I was glad to find the refurbished model, it was an excellent value.
   It took me about 30 minutes to get it installed. I think If I were to do it again, I could cut that time in half. The biggest issue I had was getting the cables sorted so they were not in the way. If I didn’t the unit would unclick itself and slide down. But having the unit be basically hidden is really nice. No one can really tell if it is on or not because they don’t usually see it. I liked that I didn’t have to run additional cables or mess with the fuse box. It was very much plug and play.

   I wasn’t blown away by the quality of the video nor have I gotten to try all of its features since mostly those are useful in the case of an accident. I have checked a couple of times to make sure it is still recording and overwriting like normal. I hadn’t had any issues. I replaced the stock sd card with a higher storage, extreme model. So I can’t speak on the quality of the original sd-card.

   This thing fits perfectly and works straight away. I was very impressed with how easy it was to install. When removing the old cover, I strongly suggest simply using your thumb and push down with some small amount of force and it will slide off….this is much easier than using a tool to pry it off where you risk breaking a connecting clip.
   Support was great as they contacted me to make sure I was ordering the right device for my car. I appreciated that even though I was certain based on what was was already written on their Dashcamera.us.com checklist.
   You can adjust the resolution and it will loop automatically – meaning record over old vids once it fills up the card. The night vision is good and you can turn on/off sound recording and the camera itself. It can also take photos with a touch of a button on the device (next to the on/off button)
   The seamlessness of its fit along with a solid camera at a decent price and the ease of install make this a must have in my book. Highly recommend

   Dank der Hilfe des Supports die richtige Cam gefunden! Es gibt scheinbar unterschiedliche Varianten nach Baujahr. Diese passt perfekt: Toyota RAV 4 Adventure 05/22
   OEM , nichts klappert oder scheppert.
   Einzig: Das WLAN ist bei mir belegt mit Wireless CarPlay Adapter. Lösung: wenn ich Videos auslese schalte ich das WLAN um.

   Looks great, easy installation, image quality is decent but at the end not really usefull.
   The video loops are only 2 seconds even though selected 3 minutes in the settings and to make it worse, it stopped recording entirely after 5 days.

   Estupenda calidad de imagen y, siguiendo las instrucciones y algún vídeo en YouTube, se hace en 5 minutos para alguien que sea un poco patoso (como yo) para estas cosas.
   Importante no equivocarse de modelo A o B.
   Me enviaron un modelo en el que faltaba la memoria y el adaptador. Tras devolver el producto sí me vino con todo perfecto. Como siempre, un 10 para el servicio de atención al cliente de Dashcamera.us.com.
   Aconsejo su instalación por su facilidad, que no se ven cables, no molesta la cámara a su visión y por la buena calidad tanto de día como de noche.
   Modelo que tengo puesto: 4k sólo cámara delantera (para el modelo con la cámara trasera sí hay que trastear más en el coche y yo no confío en mis habilidades para hacerlo correctamente)

    If you watch a few videos you can figure out how to remove the OEM cover, and install the new cover that contains the dashcam without too much trouble. Wiring is very easy and straight forward with the harness you’re given. After you install the Fitcamx app on your phone, you establish your wifi connection. But, you need to MAKE SURE YOU DISABLE ANDROID AUTO FIRST on your phone. The Fitcamx app will not connect as long as long as Android Auto is enabled. The instructions do not make this clear, and it took me about an hour before I finally figured it out. Once the app is connected, you’re good to go. It’s kind of a pain to keep switching back and forth (from Android Auto to Fitcamx app, and back), but the camera records regardless of what system you’re in (as long as your engine is on). And, it produces very clear videos! The app is easy to use, and you can either download specific videos to your phone, or remove the micro sd card and download the videos straight to your computer. All in all, it’s a pretty good dash cam system. On my 2024 RAV4 it looks very OEM-like (no exposed wires and a cover that exactly resembles the original). It records automatically as soon as you start your car (each video is dated and time stamped). At 4K, and with a 256GB micro sd card, it’s an excellent system for the price.

    I installed the Fitcamx 4K front camera on my wife’s 2024 Rav4. The installation was very easy and took about 5 to 10 minutes max. It truly does look OEM when installed and the plastic is the exact same quality as the Toyota OEM piece I removed. I’m impressed by the quality.
    I did have issues getting the Fitcamx software to stay connected, but that was my fault by not turning off cellular and bluetooth while trying to pair and connect the software on my phone with the camera. Once I figured it out it worked great. The video quality is as good or better than expected when replaying from my home computer with a large screen. The playback was smooth and easy to make out license plates on other cars. I will be buying a Fitcamx for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma next now that I’ve seen how the product works. I’ll be reviewing the videos after my wife has had a few days to drive the car and accumulate some videos.
