It took us a few days to get this installed because we had to purchase a separate adapter and hard wire that to the adaptor that was provided. Once we figure out that, it wasn’t so bad. The only thing that is interesting is we can’t figure out how to change the time zone on the system, as it is in standard Chinese time and we are in the USA.

Installation was great after you figure the wiring harness that you need. Pairing my phone to the system took some time. Again, needed better information. The system works great so far and the sound coming out of my speakers is great.

This does fit late 1997 to 2001 CR-V’s. The transition 96 to 97 might have issues. Look at the VIN plate on drivers door to verify actually year produced. After month 6 is considered the next year model. This unit is wireless android/car play. I have Android and does function properly, it just takes time to get used to using a new system. All cables are provided to bring your older radio to the future with the convenience of touch screen. Adding backup camera is a great addition also. The camera is probably the most difficult part. The radio part is pretty easy. The instructions aren’t vehicle specific. To remove factory system a quick search on the internet is your best bet. With tons of videos. At under 100 dollars this is the most economical way of bringing your cars radio and entertainment and hands free to the future.

Not only does it come with the most vague directions that don’t tell you how to remove the existing radio, but it also just straight up does not come with a correct harness for the car. everything else about the kit looks good, but that one catastrophic flaw makes this unusable in a ’98 crv without an adapter.
If I can get an payer that will work and allow the device to function ill update the review.
