On the plus side:
– Unobtrusive and out of sight for both occupants and people outside
– Always there, always on, always works
– Video quality is ok/average
On the not so plus side, a longer list, but most are minor things:
– Installation is a bear on the 2024 ID.4, not so much because of the removal of the small cover, which I had done before for HomeLink mirror upgrade, but because it is difficult to fit all the wires under it when putting it back together. I did not get the small cover back on 100% but left it alone because I did not want to break anything.
– The Android app is really bad and setup is cumbersome, mostly because the phone wants to connect to the car immediately after detecting no internet connection from the camera wifi. Best to unpair your phone from the car while you do this.
– On sunny days, the reflection from the dash is pretty prominent in the video image.

The dash cam does look exactly as advertised after installation. Perfect fit. No trimming was done. It looks like professional installation. Perfect camera angle without adjustment, although I do not think that you can as it is a fixed camera. The video quality is good during the day and night with only the timestamp. No speed on the recording. The dash cam does record sound. The app is not the best but it does work. Turn off both data and Bluetooth. Leaving only the WiFi on to connect to the dash cam. 2K video of 3 minute loop recording is about 440mb to download to your phone.
Note to ID4 owners: it’s the smaller connector, which is kinda deep inside. The unlock latch is underneath the connector. Use a small minus screwdriver to push the unlock latch upward as you pull the connector out. It took a long time to figure it out because it was difficult to see anything in such a tiny cramped area. Installation is simple after that.

If you follow the so-so directions, this product is easy to install. It is easy, but time consuming. I got the front and rear, and while the instructions for the front were included, no instructions for the rear camera. So I just routed it underneath the door sill and drilled a hole in the plastic on the rear hatch.
Overall, I am happy with the quality of the video and the appearance of the camera.
