While the packaging looks decent and the parts appear more oem than others – up close they’re not. The plastic is very brittle and doesn’t cover the same area as the original plastic. The camera quality is only okay and I doubt true 4k (doesn’t come close to being able to read license plates). I have the Lexus oem dashcam in my other vehicle and while more expensive, it’s superior in every single way!

The kit for the Lexus GX 460 model year 2021 fit very well and looked like it was an OEM product. My issue is that it worked for exactly one year or a little less. My GX started having issues with the front collision sensor/camera recently. I took the vehicle to my Lexus service center and they found that the FITCAMX dash cam was causing errors constantly which caused the collision prevention system to shut down. As soon as the FITCAMX dash cam was disconnected, all errors stopped and the system went back to normal. My guess is that due to the wiring harness tapping into the cabling, this caused any failure with the FITCAMX dash cam to spread to other systems in the vehicle.
The FITCAMX dash cam looked great and worked well for one year and then it tried to take other systems in the vehicle with it as it failed.
I cannot recommend this product unless you are willing to purchase a new one every 12 months.

I ordered the unit with the front and rear camera. it took me 6 1/2 hours to install. I also installed the optional wiring harness into the fuse box. couldn’t be more happy with this dash cam front and rear.
