   The unit’s screen resolution does not match Toyota’s screen. So, you get a much less quality picture. The sound quality through the unit is poor too. The sound in the left and center speakers started dying right about when the warranty expired. Once I removed the unit from the car, the sound immediately got back to normal! I will try to repair it and then either sell it for a low price or throw it out entirely.

   Este aparato lo instale en no más de 20 minutos, la conexión de los cables es ridículamente fácil, lo instale en un Prius C 2019 con radio fujitsu sistema Entune 2.0, solo use las palancas plásticas rojas qué venían en la caja para quitar con cuidado el plástico del tablero, use un dado de 10mm, desconecte y conecte todo si problema, muy responsivo, lo recomiendo

   Se instala fácilmente, yo tengo una RAV4 2015. El único problema que tuve fue que la cámara de reversa no funcionaba, hay que entrar a los ajustes de la aplicación y habilitar cámara, entonces la cámara de reversa funciona inmediatamente. El cable RCA amarillo es solo si quieres conectar
   – una cámara frontal

   I have a 2017 Toyota Camry with the upgraded JBL audio. I wanted to keep the original head unit, but ended up returning this product. The positive is that the wireless Apple CarPlay does work. The negatives are the screen resolution is terrible. The original resolution isn’t great, but it’s noticeably worst when it’s using this decoder, my guess is that it’s going from a digital to analog signal as it appears more blurry. A few times the screen went black and the only solution is to turn off the car and back on for it to reset. The way this decoder works is it uses the AUX setting of the car, you can switch back to Bluetooth or radio, but your backup camera will not work unless it’s under the AUX setting with this decoder. The backup camera also won’t display unless you wait a few seconds for the CARabc logo to appear. The sound quality is noticeably worst than Bluetooth. I ended up getting an Android Head Unit for my car and it’s been working great. If changing out the whole head unit is too daunting I would recommend this as long as you are aware of the drawbacks. My reason for trying this is because I never liked the aftermarket look, but there are some android head unit that looks like it was a factory stereo with the trim that matches, only certain fitment isn’t as good as the factory, but only noticeable if you look closely.

   I installed this in my 2017 Ltd Tacoma. I was a little intimidated popping the dash facade and making all the connections, but no worries. Installation took about 40 minutes. I have very much enjoyed the performance of this unit. All steering wheel controls are functional and CarPlay works very well. I think there has been a noticeable increase in fidelity when I use CarPlay on the JBL system. The bass is punchy and the volume is great. Screen resolution is in line with the native format. Now I have Sirius, CarPlay, and CD’s. Thank you!

   Fue muy facil de instalar, en mi caso fue un Prius Base 2018, y me tomo al rededor de 30 o 40 minutos el desmontar y montar nuevamente el estereo con el adaptador. Les recomiendo ver tutoriales de como desmontar el estereo en el vehiculo en especifico, para entender la “dificultad” del proceso.

   Pros:
   -Android Auto.
   -No se necesita ninguna modificacion (si acaso recomendaria cinta doble cara para fijar la unidad pero no es necesario)
   -Instalacion facil y rapida.
   -Puedes seguir usando los controles del Volante (Volumen, Siguiente/anterior, Llamar/Colgar y comandos de voz)

   Contras:
   -Estas limitado a la pantalla “original” del vehiculo.
   -Por la misma limitante tarda un poco en reconocer al momento de seleccionar.
   -Hay que configurar el audio (configurar volumenes para mejorar la calidad de microfono, audio de llamada, de musica, etc. esto se hace en las configuraciones del adaptador)
   -Hay que configurar el Equalizador, esto lo recomiendo mucho para mejorar o mejor dicho igualar la calidad del audio a como se tiene con el estereo “original”
   -Hay que ajustar los detalles de la pantalla al igual que los del audio para mejorar la calidad de los colores.

    Most of the time it works well. The resolution is below expectations. It requires powering on and off to keep it working as one would expect. Installation was best completed without the directions in trial and error fashion. Compared to other $1k options, I am satisfied. Just know it functions like a bargain.

    I drive a 2016 Toyota Sienna, and the factory-installed screen in the middle was completely useless to me since I rely on my phone for navigation and other features. I’ve never modified my car before, so I was a bit concern at first. However, the installation process for this box turned out to be relatively straightforward. The instructions and videos provided were detailed, which helped alleviate my concerns.

    After installing it successfully, I feel that the overall process wasn’t too difficult. I’ve been using it for a while now, and I’m quite satisfied, especially since I can now utilize the middle screen. There’s an option to rate the screen quality, and I gave it five stars. In reality, the screen quality isn’t great, but that’s not the fault of the box. Since I didn’t change the screen, the original screen quality remains average. However, the audio quality has improved, even though I didn’t make any additional adjustments, which I find surprising.

    Additionally, there’s less Bluetooth latency compared to the original Bluetooth connection. I’m pleased with this product!
