This wireless backup camera system works perfectly well. The transmitter always connects to the camera immediately even from the back of a 25′ RV. I added a 4-1/2 x 3 x 2-3/4 inch electronic box to contain the wires and connectors. Also, the addition of a trailer wiring harness allows the transmitter to be powered from the vehicle tow receptacle. (See the attached photo.) This makes the transmitter and camera portable. I plug it into the back of my pickup to easily align the ball with the RV hitch. Then it is moved to the back of the RV and plugged in for the camping trip. It is designed for a good wide angle closeup view.

Very easy to install. Would take all of 5 minutes if you knew which wire you wanted before hand. I wired mine into the running lights so I can continually monitor my toad Jeep during travels. The smaller monitor fits perfectly on the dash of my 2017 F350. I notched the rail above the camper door for the camera and ran the wires to my lights. The lights in the camera are white not IR.
