The Camera is very clear and I love that I can turn it on or off from inside the cab instead of only when I’m in reverse like most cameras operate. I didn’t have to make any holes in the vehicle to install it and I didn’t have to snake any wires around the truck. I love that it is charged by solar. This has been sufficient for us so far as the battery always shows full.
The way my bumper is set up I had to install this *Upside down* such that my camera can’t point down towards my hitch as much as I would have liked, but I think for most vehicles this won’t be a problem. This also means that only half the solar-panels are showing as the others are facing the ground and can’t be utilized. It would be awesome if they wrapped the solar-panels along all three sides instead of just the two for cases like mine where it can only be installed one way.
We have had lots of rain and snow and so far this has held up great to the elements.

Update!!!!
I really wanted to like this product but it kept glitching. 1st it was working just fine then started showing signs of lag while turning on. Lasted a minute. Then became 2-4 minutes. Stays on a loading scene. For a back up camera u don’t have 4-5 mins to load. Other times it didn’t even load at all. Went down hill from there. We would unplug it and reset it but it would eventually end up like that again.
We did what other reviewers suggested. Charged it completely then installed it on the license plate. At 1st my BF installed it upside down. The solar panel are suppose to be on the bottom. Since it’s plugged into the cigarette lighter. Once you turn on the car the camera turns on. After 4 seconds it turns off. If u want to use it again there’s a button on the plug that you push and within a second it turns on again. I guess it could be a hassle remembering to have to push it everytime u need to use it but it hasn’t been that bad. Small price to pay to not have to wire it to the car. We wouldn’t know where to start.
