Bought this for my son for xmas. 2016 Subaru Crosstrek. Initially the unit look great. But like most aftermarket android units, its slow. Boot up is laggy and where a factory system is within seconda this takes well over a minute to start functioning at a decent speed.
We are also unable to get the factory backup camera to work. Tried a bunch of configuration but no dice. Its nice to jave the Android Auto function in a vehicle that otherwise disnt have it from factory but if your looking for a smooth running unit, Inwouldnt recommend.

This was nearly a plug and play to swap out my 2014 Subaru Forester system. Since I had the Harmon/Kardon system I did have to splice the amp cables in order to get audio. The Bluetooth connected easily to my phone. There were some issues where the audio wouldn’t come on after starting the car until after some sort of change like a new song starting, or the screen switches after reversing. Hasn’t happened the last few times so maybe it was just a temporary glitch. There isn’t an actual apple carplay or android auto app, but one third-party app that launches them. The user interface is a little confusing to navigate and so far I haven’t figured out how to change some settings but they could be in the user manual. Other settings I’ve tried changing but nothing seems to happen. The sound is a little “tinny” but the bass is very strong, so I’m hoping I can make some adjustments to the audio to improve the sound quality. The software seems a little outdated but I haven’t tried updating it yet. There are no installation instructions so I had to find a few YouTube videos installing similar systems. It fits really well and looks nice. It doesn’t look like an aftermarket stereo head.

This is a really nice, intuitive system. It was pretty easy to install, and the directions were easy to follow. It has a lot of features that the factory stereo doesn’t offer. It’s very functional, and it fits right into the factory opening! The sound quality is much better, the kids can watch movies, and it makes the right much more enjoyable for everyone! I try to choose my D-I-Y projects wisely so as to not to get over my head. Knowing this is a plug and play type of unit I dove in. Added it to my 2014 Forester which was in need of some freshening. It could not have gone any easier. I did the swap and got it looking good on the interior in an hour and twenty five minutes and that included the time needed to get the camera functioning correctly. It would have been less time if the instructions included more detail, but I imagined it taking much longer.
The screen looks great and I could not be more pleased with the performance. it does not lag and so far, I have not had a single issue with connecting, or using with using any of the functions. All things considered, a very pleasant experience with this product.

This was a direct fit for our Subaru and I didn’t run into any issues with the install. It doesn’t quite look factory with a different finish on the bezel, but it doesn’t bother me.
I got this for the Android Auto feature and it works as expected. Wireless connectivity usually works, but I do have to use the USB connection once in a while to get AA up and running. This is pretty common among cheaper Android head units in my experience. It’s more than responsive enough with no real lag to speak of. All in all, I’m impressed for the price.

This AWESAFE 9″ touchscreen car stereo for Subaru Forester, Impreza, and WRX (2013-2015) has Android 13 operating system (a huge plus!), making it basically a modified tablet to work with the car. Installation is not easy but manageable (I advise you to look at YouTube for an installation video), and you get all the tools and cables in the box.
The touchscreen is responsive. However, the operating system lags a bit, and that might be a result of having only 2GB of RAM, but it comes with 64GB of storage space. On the other hand, it integrates well with the car’s buttons and supports a backup camera (comes with one). The best thing is it supports WiFi connections, so you can download any apps or offline maps as you wish. Finally, it supports CarPlay and Android Auto.

This carplay is really good! It essentially replaces the entire from part of the car radio, air conditioning, and dial interface, with a new one, and it fits quite snug and snaps in place. The screen is quite large, and is able to show great GPS navigation, phone calls, and other functions quite clearly on the screen. It is touchscreen, and feels easy and simple to use, and sturdy and strong like it won’t break. It is a pretty standard cost for a replacement car radio and stereo, and, in general, I am quite happy with it!
