After spending considerable time researching options online, I purchased this Android head unit to replace the Chrysler touch screen radio in my Jeep Wrangler.
Out of the box, the unit feels sturdy and well-constructed. It came with all the necessary wiring to install, along with a Canbus adapter and an owner’s manual. I would have given this amazing radio 5 stars but dropped it to 4, as information describing installation steps was not included.
The box also included some additional wiring harnesses that were not needed for the installation, which made it more difficult to determine what wiring was actually needed to connect to my Jeep.
I was very surprised, once I figured out the wiring, that all of the functions including steering wheel controls worked right out of the box. The first boot up of the radio took about a minute, but following boots were nearly instantaneous. Very impressive!
The operating instructions are fairly detailed, and connecting my phone and starting up Carplay was easy.
All in all I’m very pleased with the fit and function of this head unit.
It is most definitely an upgrade from the factory radio.
