This radio sounds and looks great in my 2008 Jetta GTI. On-screen functions and setup were all quite easy and intuitive. FYI, the “factory reset” code is 8888 and the Bluetooth connect code is 0000 by default.
It was incredibly easy to replace the factory stereo, but be extremely careful when taking apart the plastic dash board… the plastic on mine was degraded from sun exposure and shattered at multiple points.
The only issue I’ve found is that the built-in mic is not very good, however the plug in mic that you can route to your sunvisor is good enough for calls, I just didn’t want to have to route another cable.
I would absolutely buy this again for a Volkswagen.
