Love this replacement radio. We have a 2006 Dodge Caravan and it was fairly simple to install. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a nice upgrade. Apple CarPlay worked great went on our first trip yesterday. still have to install backup camera but it was too cold hahaha

This Junsun Android head unit was an affordable way to update my 2006 van audio system. Junsun customer support was a great help with getting the steering wheel controls to work. If your existing van has a premium sound system you may have to bypass your factory amp. My van uses a PCI bus not a 12 volt trigger to turn the factory installed amp on so I ended up bypassing it. When hooking up the steering wheel controls I bypassed the BCM unit in the van and hooked one of the control wires directly into the the head unit “KEY 1” wire input and grounding the other steering control wire to the chassis of the van (-). From their you can program the steering wheel controls via the head unit settings. With proper tweaking of the equalizer the sound is great coming from this head unit. Again a great upgrade for an older van, I also ordered and installed the reverse camera and it works flawlessly. Android auto and the mirror app works great too!

An Update: There are connector on the wiring harness for “with Amplifier” and “without Amplifier”. I have an Infinity Amplifier. At first I had no sound. The manufacturer send a photo showing the proper connections for my situation and I have sound. Hooray!

I installed this a month ago. I don’t know much about car wiring but I thought I could figure it out. The price was very attractive and my car is 20 years old. (I don’t listen to cassette tapes the way I used to.) I’m taking it to Best Buys’ car audio installation department next week and I hope they will help me although I didn’t buy this from them.
I have a hot spot connection from the head unit to my phone and the head unit displays the correct time. If I could just get some sound out of the speakers I’d be happy. Today, I’m somewhere in the middle.
