Initially purchased the android model. Had several issues with screen freezing, audio randomly not working, and phone randomly disconnecting. Returned it and purchased this Linux unit for about $200 less. After 1 week of using, have had 0 issues. Wish I had purchased this 1st instead of the android unit.
Install took about 4hrs. Struggled for about 1hr trying to tuck the cables behind the stock radio unit and getting the radio back in. Removed the plastic holder for the cig lighter, aux and USB and drilled a hole to run the dual USB plugs. They sit nicely in the storage compartment and much easier to access than placing in the glove box like install book says.
Did not connect the LVDS cable. My stock cable runs from the radio to the stock USB input and could not get it to pull through the opening to run up to the screen unit. Not sure what it is for as I haven’t noticed any loss of features by not connecting it.
Finally got Carplay!!

Easy installation even with no previous experience. Could not find anywhere in the instructions to connect the ground wires from the head unit together, so the sound was horrible at first. But when I connected those wires it worked perfectly.
