   I have always had xtrons radios. But this one missed the mark. Had 2 different units that had 2 completely different problems. When they worked, sounded great. But way to many malfunctions

   2007 Chevy Silverado

   Update: 2/19
   Replace your old speakers while changing out your old radio. After installing the Head Unit the sound was underwhelming. Once I put in 4 New Kicker speakers everything sounded so good. You need to use the DSP app as well, to dial everything in, but the DSP app couldn’t help my old speakers. I got 6.5 Kickers for the front doors. Make sure to get the Chevy front door brackets with the factory wire connector’s. Then the front door speakers just plug into the door. I got 4 x 6 speakers for the rear behind the door speakers. I used slim baffles for both the door and the rear. I cut the baffles out on the very bottom of each speaker. About 2 inches wide and 2.5 inches long. All speakers sound great with the baffles.

   Having to personally write Xtrons message after message for any issue I have is getting beyond annoying. They have forums, but they will not let you post questions. If the forums were open it would help those of us that have purchased these Chinese units. I’ve asked questions here, but they go un answered.

   The unit itself is nice, minus the air bubbles under the screen protector. But, if you have any questions on how something works; like what is the correct CanBus selection for your make/model, good luck getting them to answer your question.

   I can’t get the Music Player to play my music files in order. They play in order on my phone, tablet, and PC, but not on the Xtrons Music Player. Crickets Chirping with any help.

   I would still say the unit is worth the money, considering everything it can do, but good luck getting any questions answered.

   UPDATE 2/16
   I may have to return this unit. I’ve had it installed for a few days and now I’m seeing air bubbles and lint under the screen protector. . I removed the protective cover but however they installed the screen protector allowed lint in.

   If you find a Logo and resize it to 1280 x 720 and rename it to android_.jpg and make a folder on the root directory of the Head Unit named CAR_LOGO. Then place the android_.jpg into the CAR_LOGO folder.

   Then you have to go into factory settings and find the logo setting. There will be an INTERNAL and EXT setting. Select EXT and you should see your file. Just long press the file and it will be set as your LOGO.

   I also set a setting to make the logo show up after sleep. You can see the 5 second video I made where my Chevy Logo shows up every time I start my truck. It looks good.

   I just started working on my install, but just wanted to post that it fits perfectly inside my regular 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 4×4. I wasn’t clear from the listing if it would work in the non HD models, but it does. This should install in all Chevy Silverado’s from 2007-2013. All Chevy Silverado’s built from 2007 to 2013 are considered second generation and have the new body style.

   It’s also of note that I have the base 2007 Chevy Silverado with roll up windows. It doesn’t have a screen that I can scroll through to check tire pressure or let me know if a door is open, or anything else, but once I hooked the radio up to my truck, it knew when my door was open and my blinkers and chimes would sound through the small speaker that came with the radio. I was shocked that it knew my door was open because I’ve never seen any indicator in the 15 years I’ve owned the vehicle. So, this radio will take your ancient vehicle and give you some options that were only available on newer models. Apparently we have the same computer chips as some of the newer models, but we were not given a menu with the ability to scroll through the options.

   I’ll post back once I have fully installed the radio. I have speakers and a backup camera that I am waiting for before I can move forward with the install. I will say that you should just install this radio yourself. You plug the power cable into the radio and then plug in the power cable from your old radio and plug in the speaker cable from your old radio and everything on the basic level just works. If you plug in the speaker cable to the radio and you hear a buzzing, then you plugged it into the wrong plug; just unplug it and plug it into the other plug and your speakers will work. You can search for videos for installing a radio on a 2007 Chevy Silverado. You literally can pull your dash apart with your hands, and then there are 6 7mm bolts to take off to pull out your old factory radio.

   To the guy who got a bad unit, it happens, and has nothing to do with the radio being made in China. All the major brands are made in China. And, just like those units they all have a 1 year warranty. Maybe if Pioneer or any of the major brands were willing to give a 2 or 3 year warranty I would give them a go. But for one third of the price and the same warranty, I’ll take this route every time. Also, if you check the reviews for all the top brands they are no better than these cheaper units. Obviously if this doesn’t work out, I’ll maybe go that route, but I bought one of these units, all be it an older Vx720 form my 350 7, eight years ago, and it still works just fine.

   The small speaker needs to be placed under the dash somewhere which will keep it from being so loud.

   Works great but I ordered it for a vehicle that doesn’t have a Bose syeym and mine does so volume increments are all messed up but my phone control them now so there isn’t much of an issue anymore
