I just installed it today. My first time doing something like this, and it only took about an hour and a half to include figuring out how to take apart my dash. It looks factory on my ’03 Dakota.
Sucked that I couldn’t find installation directions online, but like I said, 1st time doing something like this and I managed to piece it together just fine.

It’s a pretty good head unit, I’m not sure why so many people are saying it’s slow because mine is very responsive and quick. I think it could be a little bit cheaper for what you get but overall not a bad unit. Looks stock and performance isn’t bad.

Fit is perfect and looks factory! More features than I know how to use and I would and do recommend this radio to others… two downsides I can’t completely blame on the radio more than the software or even possibly my phone. 1st it does take a little bit of time for it to pair and start playing music when it powers up and 2nd, a few times it has failed to pair and just shows a black screen, however if you switch to the home screen the display lights up and works right away with everything except for the bluetooth/z-link for my phone. Cycle the ignition and it goes back to normal operation… I would honestly give this 4.5 stars, if there was a software update to address the pairing problems I would say 5 stars all day long!

This is a great radio and great concept with awesome modern features. Android Auto is a plus but unfortunately the hands free phone calls have poor sound quality for the person you’re speaking too. So when taking or placing a call you have to hurry up and touch the screen after the call is connected/answered to transfer the call to your phone and turn off hands free each time. This would totally be a five star radio if it wasn’t for that.

This is a full featured Android radio that can do more than I’ll ever be able to use. It the perfect fit for someone who does now want a double DIN in their wrangler. Its hooks up easy to my phone, car play is easy to use, everything works except for one big problem. Sound quality is awful. I have brand new kicker speakers that worked amazing with my old radio. With this radio I can’t turn the volume up more than half way without the quality of the music breaking down. That’s not good in a soft top jeep . I understand that its not a “radio”, but a tablet that plays music. There is no bumping base in one of these units. Thats a given, but you should still be able to listen to it above 1/2 volume. The company told me to purchase a $57 android amplifier. it helped get the volume up about 25% from what it was, but I still can’t turn it up. Its very disappointing.

This radio was unbelievably easy to install in my 05 Wrangler, it fits perfect and looks great. Carplay is easy to use and its nice to have especially because I went from a newer car with carplay back to the wrangler. Unfortunately there are two big issues with it:
1 – Another review mentioned this as well but the sound quality is not good. Just like the other reviewer I also bought all new kicker speakers that sound great, but after about half volume the quality drops significantly, and on top of that full volume on this head unit is not even close to full volume on the speakers and can barely be heard on the high way.
2 – The edges of the touch screen do not respond at all. The left side where the apps are on carplay do not respond, and also if typing an address on the carplay keyboard most of the keys towards the bottom do not respond either. Luckily with navigation I can just type it on my phone, and to navigate carplay the physical back button works as well.
All in all its not a bad radio, but for the price I wish the sound quality was a lot better and the screen was more responsive all the way around.
