I have had the older version of this backup camera for a few years and that one has been working fine. This updated version is also really good. Video quality is a little bit sharper and it’s signal goes farther away from the monitor compared to my last camera. Simple install with the wiring being a good length. Overall very satisfied with this camera.

As a driver of several vehicles with limited vision and being used to a rear monitor cam, this unit offers many options. As a backup camera wired in to the reverse lamps, the monitor shuts off when no signal is received. It can also be rear monitor on a van or trailer, by hooking to accessory power or even running lights on a trailer. I find the camera to have a great picture and even at night. The 2.4GHZ video link makes it easy to install and makes trailer installation possible. The signal range seems to be excellent, but the monitor has an SMA connector making it possible to attach a higher gain antenna. The menu on the monitor is easy to follow to make most any adjustments one would need. One consideration on installation would be there are 2 modules on the camera power cable on being the rf transmitter and the other the voltage converter, neither modules appear to be weather tight and the rf module needs to placed to get signal out to the monitor. Great little unit for the money.

If you are like me and want to deal with as little wiring as possible, this is the camera for you. With the nature of trucks where a traditional backup camera would need a long wire to be fished through and tucked underneath this solves a lot of the headache.
Installation was easy, it provides a crimp that you connect with the reverse light of the vehicle which then tells the monitor to turn on. It works like how an OEM backup camera works. I tried during the day and night and can say that it works well in all times of the day.
Overall, I would suggest this backup camera for someone who wants to deal with minimal wiring but still wants a solid backup camera for their truck.

I installed the previous version of this camera on my gladiator up front under the bumper for trail riding in the desert. Easy install, except I hooked the camera up to an ignition hot wire so it was always on while riding instead of tapping into reverse lights. I installed this on my Honda passport and wired to a hot lead to put on the back of car so I can monitor the hitch while towing because the backup camera built in only works while in reverse.
Super crisp display! The previous was only a 720 display I purchased this is apparently a 1080
Easy peasy, plug the display in and boom its on!
