Fitment and install is good and quick/easy. Cam is tucked behind the rearview mirror so it doesn’t block anymore driver viewsight(unlike the oem one). Video and sound quality is very good. I would 1000% recommend this dash cam over the toyota oem one!!! In all: This cam has the oem one beat by price, ease of install, well hidden and not obstructing driver view, same or better video/audio quality.

The camera is awesome i drive a 2025 tundra and you dont even noticed is there the only think that will make ir
Better is parking mode for 24/7 record

Buyer beware! The camera doesn’t loop record full 1,2,or 3 minute videos fully (depending on what you have your camera set to). It partially records video with no rhyme or reason. Almost learned the hard way when trying to playback footage from a near miss accident.
I reached out to the manufacturer and got a firmware update and I am still having the same issue

Was skeptical at first but easy install , looks oem and works off that back. Took me about 20 minutes total with downloading app and install. Way better than the Toyota cam that’s over 500$

Though it was a little difficult to install (not impossible, just a little time consuming for me), I do love this product. It feels like a relief to have a camera that is constantly recording just in case I ever need it. I don’t use the app very often, but when I have used it, it was easy and exactly what I wanted it to be. The videos to install this could have been better, but after watching multiple times I finally figured it all out.

The fit was good except for the little trim piece that goes around the mirror. It would not snap into place. The snaps would not catch. I finally have it fitted but the slightest touch will make it come apart. I’m going to wander around the hardware store and see if they have something a bit stronger. I bought the rear option camera and was able to hide the cord underneath the headliner and route it out to the rear bed light on my 2025 Toyota Tundra. You need to drop the headliner partially in the rear to access the 3 nuts that hold the light and camera assembly in. It all worked perfect. Three reasons this is better than Toyota’s own dashcam is it looks factory, less cost and a rear camera option.

TABS ARE NOT LIKE OEM AND ARE HOLLOW INSTEAD OF SOLID. WOULD NOT STAY IN
HAD TO REINFORCE THEM. WE WILL SEE HOW LONG IT HOLDS

Fit and finish is great, installation was easy. The problem is that the app never wants to connect to the camera via wifi. I have to do a hard reset half the time. This makes me question the reliability of the item. The other problem is that I don’t know if it recording or not. Take Vantrue dash cams for example, there’s a screen which you can see at all times so that you know it is recording. Fitcamx on the other hand, there’s no way for you to know if it is actually recording unless you use the app to connect to it via wifi, except the freaking wifi connection works less than half the time. VERY FRUSTRATED, I will give it a couple more days of testing, but I am very likely to return it.
Update, after reading other’s reviews it turns out that you have to turn Bluetooth off when connecting to the camera. Now why isn’t this information in big letters upon opening the package?
