Removing the existing plastic pieces is impossible with the single plastic trim removal tool included in the box. After spending somthing like three hours trying to remove the third and last part, I got a $20 plastic tool kit from the local autoparts store and removed that last piece in 2 minutes. Rest of the install was OK, but it does require some dexterity. Also, the WiFi ID the units uses to link to the phone app is… bizarre? I would never have guessed which one it was (even if listed in the phone’s Settings screen) it until I found a piece of paper in the box that listed it, as well as the rather trivial password.
Armed with that, App works O.K. Color is not the best but useable. Also, make sure you clean the inside of the windshield for a good bit around the lens – it is such a wide angle lens that you can see smudges as far as 5 inches away (I guess it is a good thing – also, the image is not too deformed for such a wide angle coverage). Default “take” length on 1 min is too short IMHO – I set it to 5 minutes.

Like everyone says installation is rough. It’s the wires man. If you can I pulled them so that the big connector you plug your rain sensor to goes under the last piece of trim your putting it. Once I did that it was effortless, instead of trying to fit the wire under the second piece of trim which I think everyone does, stretch it out and do it under the last big piece. App feels cheap but it doesn’t feel bad, I was able to connect to my wifi no issues. I was able to see the video and my 3 min video ( that’s what I have my duration set to) downloaded almost immediately to the app. So maybe they have an update? But I’ve had no issues so far. It looks great you can’t even tell theres a dash cam. I like it so far. Fit perfectly on my car.

Installation on an Audi a3 2024 was insanely difficult. I would recommend just getting a normal dash cam and tucking the wires in the trim. With the install out of the way though, this is a solid dash cam. The app is better than garmin and the camera quality is great. I wish there was voice commands and an easier install but you can’t have it all I guess. Design was a little bigger than OEM, cable is a little thick and requires wire tucked perfectly, wifi connectivity is really good but you have to disconnect from wireless CarPlay
EDIT: received a defective unit and was sent a replacement instantly. The replacement has fixed every issue I mentioned above. Installation still a little tricky but alot easier with this functioning unit. 4.5/5 stars
