You’d never know there was a dash cam there, that’s how well this fits replacing the OEM cover. excellent quality. Install might be tuff if you’re not mechanically inclined but most should be able if you know how to follow instructions.

Good implementation. Works well. Note that there is a lot of emphasis on using the rain sensor for power. However later EV9s have the rain sensor jack tightly connected and cannot be removed. If that is the case use the other adapter provided to connect into the car’s on board camera system. Took me 20 minutes of trying my hardest to unplug the rain sensor before I realized I was unplugging the wrong jack.
You need to remove the SD card to access the footage. Accessing the dashcam via your phone is clunky as you need you connect to the dashcam WiFi which means you need to disable your phone data connection and ensure you are not auto connecting to you home WiFi in order to access. Would be really great if, once set up the dashcam had the ability to connect to your home WiFi to allow direct access to the video files instead of having to remove the SD card. But overall seems to work fine. Does not record car speed. It does have a time stamp as long as the dashcam has been connected to you phone to sync up time and date. Overall solid effort and happy it’s integrated without cables visible. Video quality is very good.

Early versions of this unit only came with the option to use the rain sensor cable and that’s what the install video shows. The problem is that cable is very difficult to remove. However, newer units come with a lane keep assist cable you can use instead. This worked like a charm for me and came out very easily. I’m very appreciative of Fitcamx to hear that customers were having difficulty with the rain sensor cable and adding this alternative!
