This brand/model of dash cam was recommended by a lot of fellow Volvo owners on a forum, so I purchased it. It was the perfect solution. Not only very straight-forward to install, but once done, it looks like an original piece of equipment in the car. No wires, nothing suction-cupped to a windscreen, etc. The app/controls aren’t the most sophisticated, but it gets the job done well.
The manufacturer provides a useful installation video – no special skills around wiring or otherwise required. It’s essentially plug-and-play. However, be aware – while installation is straight-forward, it does take patience and some dexterity to re-fit the two vehicle pieces around the rear-view mirror at the end. I got it done in 5 minutes – others have spent a lot more time on it, especially with the small cover at the front side of the rear-view mirror stem. That one can be finicky to get snapped back in correctly.
Overall, a very good product.

First, the camera is excellent. It was easy to set up on our C40 and it takes great video. I also love that the contours of the camera match the mirror trim precisely.
Second, the purchase support provided was top notch. I accidentally ordered the camera for the XC40 Recharfe. After the purchase, they contacted me to verify my vehicle and asked me to provide a picture of the mirror trim so that they could verify I had ordered the correct camera prior to shipping. But, I had actually purchased the camera prior to taking delivery on the vehicle and they shipped the camera. Once I had the car, I sent the photo and they let me know I had ordered the wrong camera and they had already shipped it. But, they took care of my mistake and shipped the correct casing that would match the vehicle (at no cost to me,) along with providing a video on how to change the camera casing. We received everything and were able to follow the instructions to switch the casing over. We were able to install the camera in the vehicle easily after that. Great service!

Installed in 15 mins or less, just be care full when clipping the camera to the housing so that you don’t bend he plastic pins that lock to it. Besides that I love the piece of mind and not having wires and mounts on the windows. You can’t even tell there is a car cam in the car.
