I was really impressed with the packaging; it felt like I was unboxing a new MacBook. Everything was neatly placed inside. The purchase price was very reasonable with the available discount, making it worth it for my DIY installation. The detachable solar panel fits and clamps perfectly on the camera. I replaced the power connection port cap on the camera with the solar panel’s micro-USB connection cap and secured it tightly to prevent any water entrapment. This cap design is excellent, providing a good seal compared to a loose, small rubber piece. The camera angle can be easily swiveled to adjust for the correct angle, which is a plus compared to my existing car camera that cannot be adjusted to minimize light glare on sunny days. Installing the 5-inch screen was as easy as mounting an old GPS on the windshield and connecting it to the cigarette lighter port. When I started the car, the rear-view video was live and clear on the screen. I adjusted the run time to the maximum to allow for longer durations for proper backup and reverse parking. It can be turned on anytime by pressing the switch on the charger. The charger also has a USB port, which is really helpful for keeping my phone charged while driving. I hope the solar energy will charge the camera on the go, so I don’t have to recharge it manually often. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. I highly recommend this to anyone still using an old car without a rear camera or wanting to add an extra rear or front view for driving safety.

Once installed, the directions are easy to understand and straight forward to complete. For all my units, I was using them immediately.
I needed back up cameras for my older vehicles, which to me it is an important safety issue. I now have solar powered back up cameras on 3 vehicles and every one of them has been extremely reliable and trouble free. The dashboard monitor is just the right size and doesn’t obscure my view. The connection between the camera and the screen is stable and the image quality is clear. The upgrade to the HD 1080P is really great. I get a very clear, sharp picture.

When they claim it only takes 3 minutes to install, they mean it. Just charge the camera before installing. Super easy to mount to either the bottom or the top of your license plate. This has the ability to monitor two channels so you could mount to the front and back if you like. I had the camera installed in a couple minutes and then all you have to do is plug in the monitor and let it pair with the camera. The picture is very clear and stable even at night! The 5 inch screen fit easily on my dash without obstructing my view. The price was great especially with the $40 coupon! I park my truck in my driveway so the solar camera stays charged. I’ll update later if I have any problems but so far I highly recommend this system. I might add the extra camera to the front of my truck later.

This Foxpark backup camera was incredibly easy to install, it took just a few minutes. I simply charged the camera first time, mounted it onto the license plate with securing solar panel and its cable to charging port, Secured the 5″ display monitor with suction cup onto windshield and plugged its charging cable to the monitor and charger to cigarette lighter. Once it turned on, it showed very clear and stable HD images, even at night. This 5″ screen could be adjusted to minimize the glare in the sun which is not possible with in-built lcd screen. The solar-powered feature really keeps the camera charged without needing manual recharges. As per my experience with solar security system camera, sometimes manual charging and manual restart might require under severe weather condition. I have done this manual charging using power bank and I didn’t have to remove the camera. Its display monitor connects wirelessly as soon as I start the car and its connection time can be adjusted using the setting on the display. Further, I learned that I could check rear view anytime by just pressing the button on the cigarette lighter charger. The only issue I noticed was that the camera is still using micro-USB connection port. and nowadays most new gadgets are coming with USB-C. Overall, it’s a highly recommended, affordable, and efficient backup camera system.
