My camera itself came off the back license plate on a long road trip and they sent me a new one for 40% off and it had a locking screw on it and I added thread lock to it to make sure I did not loose this one. My camera is on the bottom of the license plate causing the back up screw to be more apt to loosen because it is upside down. Thank you ERIN I love having it so when I am parked between two trucks or SUV’s I no longer have to back out blind. I am 79 GREAT UNIT WITH NO WIRES TO INSTALL.

The camera is attached to the license plate bracket by one small rivet. It takes little effort for the rivet to break off and then you loose an expensive camera. Build quality is poor – so watch out!

I had ordered two of these, and it worked for about two years but stopped working both together. The batteries gave up and there’s not an easy way to replace these batteries, they could make it so you can replace the batteries but now I have to order two new ones but I’ll probably stick with wired from now on.

TERRIBLE DESIGN!! CAMERA FELL OFF!! I’m honestly shocked that this design passed before manufacturing!! The bracket is held up by a screw the size of an eyeglasses screw, and if it breaks, the camera is no longer fastened to the bracket! That tiny little eyeglasses screw is the ONLY thing holding it together!!
I only had it for TWO DAYS, and the screw BROKE off (likely because you can see the metal bent off around it – the metal is not sturdy), and my camera fell off mid-drive. Now I’m OUT of a camera entirely!
Even if you use the adhesive, the bracket is what adheres to the adhesive. So, if the bracket is faulty, then your camera will NOT be adhered to it! I’m sure the solar feature is awesome and perhaps this is a great camera, but this is a MAJOR DESIGN FLAW that will LEAVE YOU WITHOUT A CAMERA ENTIRELY!!
