I have a 2014 Outback Limited with the Harmon Kardon configuration. This unit would NOT produce sound for me. I will say that product support is responsive and easy to work with. I was sent the power cable/harness specific to my Harmon Kardon unit with the proper canbus. Either I had a defective unit, defective harness or this just does not play nice with the 2014 HK setup. ***and YES I DID see all of the comments, videos here and on Youtube about making sure to connect the blue Amp wire to power. I tried every single “fix” presented out there, and spend a considerable amount of time trying it all. I tried everything with setup/config on the unit. No sound.
I REALLY wanted this unit to work. I looks awesome and like it belongs. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I found the UI to be quick and responsive. It connected to my phone and everything (steering wheel controls etc.) just beautifully!! I just couldn’t get any sound no matter what I tried…so I reluctantly returned it all and put the stock Harmon Kardon back in….for now, sadly. If they figure oit out for my car; I’ll buy it again in a millisecond.

We bought it for my daughter’s 2013 Subaru Legacy. It fits so well that it looks like it came with the car. She has no complaints. The screen is nice and big and the cameras work well.

The head unit itself is great. It has all of the features I wanted. CarPlay and Android Auto have been working perfectly, both wired and wirelessly. It did take some work and some messages to the seller to figure out a few things. It’s been years since I last installed a stereo and I was reading one of the wiring diagrams backwards. (FYI… the reverse/back wire gets attached to the pink wire) The seller quickly responded and helped me move forward. It took some work to get the faceplate all tucked in to give it the “factory installed” look. At first I thought I was going to have a gap at the top, but the pry tool really helped and now it’s a tight fit. I didn’t expect the steering wheel controls to work without some sort of adapter, but they did. There is an option to configure the steering wheel controls in the interface. Overall I’m super happy with it. My only minor complaint is the length of the radio antenna, but it overall it exceeded my expectations for the price.
