   The same speakers I’ve always had sound better with this in. It makes the car feel much newer, and it fits in looking like it came with the car. It easily connects to CarPlay. The navigation is great, and it finds routes to avoid traffic jams.

   Even though this car radio was intended to fit 2006 – 2011 Toyota Camry, I installed it on my 2008 Toyota Corolla. With a couple of additional hand made brackets it did fit nicely under the dashboard and between vents. All wire connections were compatible, and the whole installation process was not difficult. Of course, it took some time to route wires through the car and mount the rear view camera. But it was absolutely worth it, as this upgrade gave me additional functions that I didn’t have before. Hands free calls, back-up camera, and screen navigation are especially useful. Everything works fine, the quality is great.

   First thing to note is that the screen quality has improved quiet a bit from the plastic LCD touch screens to Glass touch screens. The glass is smoother and provides a much better viewing clarity. Also the touch response is quick and smooth. It does have CarPlay and Android Auto which connects fairly quickly and is stable. Its fairly simple to install even for someone who wants to DIY. Wiring is plug n plug and no splicing is needed which makes it DIY friendly. Setup is pretty straight forward. It comes with a bezel that has a bright silver color. It doesn’t match perfectly and noticeable doesn’t affect the function. I do prefer if it was black instead.

   First of all, the screen is much larger than the original one. The Android system plus the 9-inch touch screen really improves the visual experience. The operation is basically smooth. Although the resolution is not rigorous, it is clear enough. There will be some reflections when the sun is directly shining during the day, but it does not affect normal use. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are the GPS navigation and Bluetooth voice calls of this device. It also plays music. The backup camera picture quality is average, which is better than the original DSP sound adjustment.
