   I’ve been hoping to find a solution for Android Auto connection complications — tried various lengths of cables, angle adapters, wasn’t really happy with anything, mostly because every option involved plugging a cable into my phone every time I wanted to use my phone map in the car. And I don’t know how many times I’ve had to go back to the parking lot to retrieve my phone after I left it connected to the car.

   Well, that’s at an end. This device is like magic, it plugged and played flawlessly with my 2024 Kia Soul and Android phone. I’m still exploring extra features that I wasn’t expecting, like onboard background sounds — Living Forest sounds great, there are others too. This adapter also allows me to do things I should never do while driving, like watching videos or playing games — I wonder if the car touch screen works with games on the phone? Maybe have to find out later…

   The very best thing about this adapter is it allows me to use Android Auto with no cables or wires. That alone would be worth the price to me. Five stars, two thumbs up. Very pleased.

   There’s plenty of wireless carplay devices on the market but a few of them rise to the top of the field. The Magic Box is one of the best. It’s not that it does anything different than the others–it just works and works well. Bluetooth connection is easy, offers screen mirroring as well as Android Auto/Apple CarPlay. One of the most important components of an adapter like this is data transfer speeds and the Magic Box does it fast and with minimal latency. Well worth the investment. Highly recommended!

   I have had the Lamvose Magic Box 2.0 for 2.5 months now and it has been a work in progress. I provides me with wireless Android Auto, and Apple Carplay, Maps and Music apps all with a very rapid connection. The issues I have had with it are obtaining a solid connection with the other apps/services like YouTube, Prime, Netflix and screencast.
   So why did I give this 4 stars, you may ask? Well, over the past few months Lamvose customer service has worked with me to figure out the connection issues with my Android Phone. We have made connections to the services, it is now trying to get them to function appropriately. I use an AT&T car data plan and get a stable internet connection, it seems to be the brand of phone I have. Annie at Lamvose has been working with me to figure out the software issue that is causing the interruption. Using Apple Carplay seems to connect fine, but I am a diehard Android fan. Tried it in another vehicle, with another Android phone and no issues. Worked great. I did notice something recently when we connected it in my son’s car and tried connecting to Netflix. If you have the Standard AD-Supported plan, you will get a message to update the app to the new AD-supported version.

   I’m happy with this product. I like that. I don’t need to plug into my car to get CarPlay anymore. The magic box did make life a little easier and that aspect.

   I like that I can bypass certain factory features that come standard in my vehicle to allow me to play apps that I wouldn’t be able to otherwise.

   Delivery was quick, arrived the next day. I would recommend.
