After trying to sign into my Spotify on this device, I was locked out of my account and Spotify had confirmed my account was compromised. It appears this pre installed app contained a Trojan horse virus used to acquire your information. Seller would not provide any comment other than this is not mentioned in the owners manual. Be careful of this product!

I just installed this unit in my 2015 Tacoma and overall I’m loving it. It replaced my factory screen which was small and dated. Everything connected well including steering wheel controls, factory USB interface, Apple CarPlay and the factory rear camera. A few things to watch for. The lower bezel clips don’t seem to be too secure and there’s some play, this isn’t a problem though and I may be able to remedy it myself, the fit is good otherwise. The instructions are fairly vague when it comes to connecting up the wiring harness, everything is plug-n-play but you need to do a little guessing here and there, it isn’t too bad though.
I looked at more expensive units and am glad I didn’t spend three times as much for the same thing somewhere else.

I had one of my car buddies install it for me, some car knowledge is needed to install one but according to him the instructions were easy to understand and helped him quite a lot.
Both Android Auto and Carplay works flawlessly, same for Bluetooth.
The GPS works without issue.
No issue with my sound system too and the screen is responsive.

This was a definite improvement to my truck. Installed easily. I am an Apple user so I was interested in using Apple car play mostly. Connected to my iPhone no problems there. Apple CarPlay came up no problems except it was kind of in and out for a little bit until I figured out you have to go to specific app to bring it up on the screen after you’ve gone to let’s say the radio. I would show a video on this but Dashcamera.us.com wants all the permissions to my cameras and my photos and I am not gonna do that. The only negative I see really is that AM radio Produces an annoying hum as you pass under or near high voltage powerlines. This is practically the only negative and that’s why I gave it Four stars

I have a 2015 Tacoma which has stock steering wheel controls and a stock backup camera. The camera and steeling wheel controls were working on my very first test. Getting everything plugged in is probably the most complicated part, but there was zero wire cutting required. CarPlay is working great for me so far. Running YouTube directly on the system was not a great experience. Using wireless screen mirroring with YouTube open on my phone was a little better, but laggy/jittery enough that it doesn’t seem to be usable. I haven’t had a chance to try wired screen mirroring yet. CarPlay, however, works completely fine. There’s great customizability, with the ability to pick from built-in themes or pick your own custom background. So far, so good 👌🏼👌🏼
