   The front facing camera was fairly easy to install routing of wire from front to back camera was a little challenging in places but went well. The wire from front to rear was quite a bit longer than needed at least 3’ too much. Setting up cameras and using app was a little frustrating at times but came together nicely. Picture quality is very good, field of view is very good as well. I believe there is excellent value for the money and so far I am happy with my purchase. My version came with optional gps plug that I have not used yet but may choose to do so in the future. It would have been nice to have an easy solution to monitor the vehicle when parked in certain places. The app works well enough for aiming the rear camera and for downloading recordings but wouldn’t work for continuous viewing due to competing wifi applications in my truck.

   This Mangoal dash cam was super easy to install overall and I like the integrated OEM look to it!

   I have had a few different type of dash cams in the past and they all have their pros and cons. The biggest thing I look for is video quality, look, and how easy it is to get the videos off of the camera. I had a Garmin years ago that was pretty small but good video quality and had built in features that were nice. When I traded in the truck I didn’t transfer the camera because I had it for about 3 years. Then I purchased a Nexar Beam which from my research was a “good” camera and well that was not true at all. Getting videos from it and connecting to it was such a PITA and every 4-6 weeks the camera would fall off of the windshield.

   I purchased a new 2025 Silverado 2500HD a few weeks ago and I was on the hunt for another dash cam, but something better this time. I did not know about these style of cameras, but my friend sent me a link and told me to check it out. I liked the look of it and the fact I could use the existing powered mirror to connect this to and not have to run wires and connect into the fuse box or take it to some audio store to install. It took me about 10 minutes to install this camera overall, and the only delay I had was clipping the housing back onto the windshield. I was worried I would break a clip or something and Iw as hesitant, but I finally just push hard and it popped right in. So I would suggest to not be scared to put a lot of pressure as long as you know you have the slips lined up correctly. In the video I have it recording at the highest quality which is 4k and as you can see it is super clear and on your phone or computer you can pause the video and make out license plates in vehicles you pass.

   I do wish that Mangoal had a way to add some new features to this unit such as GPS and maybe even a cloud version.

   Love the OEM look. That’s the end of the positives. The wifi is an unmitigated disaster. It very rarely works, and when it does it’s usually only for a few seconds before it disconnects from the camera. Imagine this scenario: you’ve just been in an accident. To retrieve the video, you have to disconnect your wifi connection from your phone to connect to this contraption. The wifi disconnects constantly. Then you have to try to download the video, which is stored in one minute increments, and usually produces a “download failed” message after about five minutes. Make sure your car engine continues running, after the accident mind you, so that you can continually try to reconnect the wifi and download the video. Hope you are not trying to perform these tasks while injured. It is difficult to adequately convey the level of frustration with this product and the imbecility of the app. It is just profoundly terrible.

   The camera device’s installation and its image quality are good. I liked the tutorial and the easy setup.

   As for the integration of the app and the smartphone, it’s better to go old school and take the micro SD out of the dashcam and stick it on the PC.

   Unfortunately, that is not an easy task, if you have your smartphone synchronized with your vehicle you will have to sign out from the carplay every time you need to access the camera. Kind of annoying.

   This is a great dash cam. It looks factory and out performs every other dash cam that I’ve tried. Crystal clear video, crisp and clear sound and extremely easy to install and use. I’d give more stars if it was possible.

   Title has the vehicle I installed the dash cam inside of. It came with 3 different plugs. Only need one. Plugs right in and had it installed in about 15 mins. Took long because I had a difficult time getting the ABS plastic replacement tabs back in and locked to the windshield. Take your time w it. Looks factory af. Works perfect. The resolution is amazing. No need to adjust the camera(no way to do so anyway). Powers on and off w ignition. In the pics u also see my radar detector. Has options for parking sensor and crash sensor recording. Had to disconnect my truck wifi then hook to dash cam wifi and set it all up. Then u only hook to the camera when u want to download videos or photos. I have the 360 camera factory so I don’t need to use it for any reason except when I need to pull the recordings. I LOVE it!!!!
