スバル XV(GT7)の3年使ったミラー型ドライブレコーダー(１万円代)が不調になり純正交換タイプを探してたら、ちょうど新春セールで安くなってたので思い切ってこちらを購入しまた。
以前はミラーに被せるタイプで、配線もコネクター差し込みだったため、リアのカメラケーブルや電源ケーブルを総取り替えしたので３時間くらいかかりました。
XVの場合純正ミラーの取り外しは、まずミラー根本のカバーを左右どちらかにねじって外します。ミラーステーは下側にある爪を引きながら上側に持ち上げると外れます。
XVの場合、ドライブレコーダーのステーはアダプターなしでこのまま取り付けられますが、アイサイトのカメラカバーに干渉するので付属の延長アダプターを取り付けました。
GPSも内蔵でミラー本体のデザインも良く、ミラーに映る映像も以前のものより綺麗で、録画映像もハッキリ映ってます。
しっかりした日本語の説明書もあり、設定画面も1万円台の製品に比べると多機能で分かりやすいです。
値段的にも丁度いい製品だと思います。

I was really excited about this item until I realized that my current one-year old mirror dash cam was 4k while this is only 2k. 2k is ANCIENT in terms of tech. I’ve had 4k for years on my dashcam.
So this one is not only about $100 more than just a regular dashcam, it is lower res. In addition, the camera is apart from the unit as a plus. My current one $130 or so, has the camera built into the mirror and simply fits over the mirror without requiring you to completely replace your mirror. While it can be annoying to have the mirror over ones fall off or become miss-aligned, they still work.
The ONLY benefit of this one is a more professional appearance and to not deal with having a mirror double stacked or falling off.

I purchased this for my work van in December of 2023. I had been working flawlessly until today. The screen started showing wavy lines like a frequency interference. Then the screen went black but still gave the time and the speed. After that the screen went fuzzy like an old tv on the wrong channel. I checked all my connections for the rear camera and the mirror. They were still connected. I unplugged everything and reconnected it again. Still no luck. Niko Maku has no customer service from what I can find. Dashcamera.us.com only has a 30 day return policy… now I have a $300 camera that isn’t working after only a year of use. Very disappointed!! At the time of purchase I would have given this five stars. But now, I’m giving it no stars but Dashcamera.us.com requires you to select one at least.

SJ型フォレスター後期モデルにDIYにて装着しました。付属の取扱説明書の取付方法は簡易的な説明なので、実際の取り付け作業にあたり、手順等はYouTubeを参考にして進めたので間違いなく行えました。
ミラー本体は付属アタッチメントは使わず、延長スペーサーのみ使用しました。フロントカメラの位置はフロントガラス中央上部のミラー本体で隠れる位置に設置。また付属の配線カバーは内張までの距離に合わせてカットすることでカメラ本体と配線は完全に隠す事ができました。
使用感としては走行時のミラーのブレも無く、画面の明るさも充分にあります。タッチパネルの反応も良く、物理キーが無くても操作感は良好なことからデジタルインナーミラーとして機能は純正品と遜色ありません。
ドラレコとして夜間でも後続車のナンバーが確認できる程に鮮明で駐車監視機能もあり、万が一の時の安心感につながります。
使い始めてあまり時間が経っていない為、耐久性があるのかどうか未知数ですが、現時点では期待通りの装着感とストレスのない操作感に満足しています。

I’m disappointed that the GPS speed display stopped working days after installation. I run oversized tires that throws my speedometer off so I was really enjoying that feature.

Install update:
My brother and I installed this in a VW Golf. The wiring was straight forward and easy to do with the included wiring harness. Running the wires in a Golf isn’t the easiest as everything is very tight fitting, but we made it work. You do need a multi-meter or fuse testing light to determine where to plug the two wires in. If you have some mechanical and electrical know-how, it should be no problem.
Mounting the mirror didn’t quite go as planned. The included adapter fits the factory mount well enough, but the screw that holds the mirror on was too short to grab on the adapter, see the video. We ended up taking a piece of paper from the box and folding it on itself multiple times. We then placed that paper inside the open area of the adapter and the mirror screwed onto it.
The manual says there is a zoom function when on either the front or rear camera display. That is a bit of a mislabel, it allows you to scroll what you see up and down. The cameras have a different aspect ratio than the mirror screen which gives you a sort of digital pan function.
Overall the dashcam/rear camera system is working well and we would get another if we needed it! I will leave it at a 5 star rating despite those couple of issues. I will update the review if it doesn’t last very long.
Unboxing Review:
While I have not had the time to install it yet (toddler at home) I went ahead and unboxed it as well as read through the instructions.
The mirror part looks FACTORY! I have a different model currently installed and you can tell it is after market, I don’t think you’ll be able to tell on this one.
The install instructions are clear and simply to follow.
