I discovered that if I return to my car after a few minutes and try to use carplay, the device sits on the waiting screen and never connects. Once in this state, the only way to correct this issue is to either disconnect and reconnect the device or cycle Bluetooth off/on. The other issue is that I don’t get sound from carplay sometimes and must either restart the device or cycle Bluetooth off/on again. If I drive long enough to go through several songs, I get random audio drop out for a second or so. This happens on different songs and I have verified that there are no gaps on the songs on the phone. It seems to start after the unit gets hot.
There is no mention of what carrier 4G sim card will work. I sent a message to customer support and their reply is that the device works well with most carriers except AT&T. I also ran across a page somewhere in the device settings that asked for a 4 digit code (not provided). The device works just fine without the need for this code, but it should be provided. Both of these items should be addressed in the users manual.
