I have had this head unit since the beginning of August and it has already stopped working every time I would turn my car on it would be reset and I would have to set it up like it was its first time being powered on and that would happen multiple times a day now suddenly Apple CarPlay will not work and the screen was going black and would not allow me to select anything. All it will do is charge my phone now.

Only issue is it does not keep time…It is wired up correctly btw…it has a constant power with no key(red memory wire)Carplay detected instantly and runs smoothly with google maps….Only other small gripe is no Fast boot….The nice clear bright display..aswell as analog volume dial makes it a great system…If you have problem with carplay not detecting..try another usb cable and make sure its in proper usb port on headunit..it has 2 on the front..one is kinda hidden.

I was looking for a solution for my 1999 F-350 that would provide a good sized screen without cutting up the dash. So, I went with a floating style head unit. Sadly, the Power Acoustik’s screen can’t adjust high enough to not be completely blocking sight of the HVAC controls. Other than that, the head unit functions great. I wish Android Auto had an equalizer option, though. When streaming music, there’s no equalizer options without paying money… and even those are lackluster, at best.

Got it so I can see the map while driving and after I got it I found all the perks like split screen and the fact it’s detachable screen.. also has good sound with a sub hookup and EQ..you can turn the screen off for night driving to see the road plus the screen is adjustable,up,down and tilts.. really like it and gets compliments.. the DVD switch can be bypassed the brake wire by just grounding it out on the chassis (shhh).. if it comes out with Blu-ray I’d buy it asap cause this one is bad arse..
