Really nice CarPlay unit. Bought my daughter a 2009 vehicle but wanted to have a way she could use a mapping software that would speak through the speakers to give directions since she’s still a relatively new driver.
This connects really well. I like the included dash camera.
I only took away a star because the included SD micro card died within a few days. You need to buy a quality sandisk “High endurance” card for any kind of dash cam, as a regular card will die relatively quickly.
The hardest part of the set up was to run the cables to the back for the backup camera. The camera does stick out a little more than I’d like when set up. Also, the back up lines are in a fixed position (don’t change when the wheels turn to show where the car will be as it turns) so the reverse lines are not as helpful as the ones in an OEM. But for the money, it can’t be beat.
