Currently driving a 2018 Ram 1500 with a limited interface display. I wanted to have Apple Carplay to assist with driving. This is a great addition if you are looking for that! The short and sweet, a good investment if you are looking for:
– A great dash camera
– Apple Carplay/Android Auto
– Large screen
1) Installation was simple. Right out of the box, it is a simple plug and play. The suction cup works quite well, whether you are attaching it to your dash or window. No need to download any apps! You simply connect it through Bluetooth and it is good to go.
2) On the backside of the unit, there is a dash camera. The camera itself can be adjusted up or down to accommodate for height.
3) The unit connects right away to your phone and goes to the appropriate screen (Apple or Android) as soon as you start the car. I have tried this out with both an iPhone 15 Plus and Samsung Galaxy 23 Ultra without any issues! Everything is snappy and fast, no issues with slowdowns.
4) I have the unit connected to my stereo through an AUX cable. I find it the most stable and reliable when it comes to sound quality.
5) The unit has a microphone built in. If you are on a call, the microphone will pick up your voice and the AUX cable will deliver the sound through your stereo. A great setup!
Suggestions for buyers:
1) The box comes with an AUX cable, but you may wish to purchase a longer one depending on where your AUX outlet is located in your car.
2) The box comes with a memory card for the camera, but you may wish to purchase another one if you prefer a name brand.
3) If your car has bluetooth calling as an option, disconnect your phone from it if you are using this device. When a call is coming through your phone will get confused on which device is to accept the call, use as a microphone and play out the sound. Point 5 above highlights my setup and it is great!

Waste of time and money (more time than money) spent 6 hours installing this unit just the way i wanted it . As soon as i got to updating the unit the screen would no longer respond . Despite my ever trying efforts to find a solutions i came up with none . I contacted seller to recieve a new one but was asked to take all wiring out of vehicle and return… the amount of time i spent wiring is not nearly worth the amount i paid for this item. So now i have a useless screen in my truck peetty shiney does work as a decent mirror . Anyways dont waste your time people this is cheap chinese product you may get lucky but chances are you could just end up being me .
