This was a replacement item for an earlier 1080P front and rear dashcam from a different manufacturer. It was about 4 years old and the internal battery was shot and not replaceable.
This has far better camera’s and glass than my previous one, and the picture quality reflects this. The glass lens is about 20mm or so, Vs the maybe 7mm lens on the previous one. So it’s not as discreet but you are far more likely to get a registration number if you needed it.
The touchscreen and wireless work well.
My only complaint is that I thought the GPS was included. It isn’t – it’s a separate “Add-in”. Which I only discovered after it arrived, so I have had to order that separately. Which I did on September 25. I ordered the GPS head but it got lost in transit and the lack of tracking caused delays before a replacement was sent. So if buying I’d say order the GPS head at the same time.

La caméra est globalement un bon produit, toutes les plaques d’immatriculation sont très lisibles sur la même voie. La qualité vidéo est correcte et l’objectif grand angle capture une bonne partie de la route. J’ai eu un souci de configuration avec le niveau de sensibilité du G-sensor, le vendeur à été très réactif (réponse en 24 heures) pour m’informer du mode de fonctionnement ses commentaires ont été très utiles.

Settimane a scegliere una dash cam: ho scritto sei o sette volte al servizio assistenza per beccarne una col parking mode. Rispondono dopo tre o quattro giorni lavorativi, e non capiscono niente: scrivo la domanda in inglese con poche parole, chiare, semplici, esemplificando, e rispondono cose a caso. Mi immagino l’assistenza post vendita cosa possa essere.
Alla fine ho scelto questo modello, che è di livello medio alto nel marchio, e nonostante sia scritto ovunque il contrario, non ha il parking mode. E comunque a me il peso dà un po’ fastidio, e questa telecamera pesa 1Kg. Ha il peso specifico del ferro, pieno. Io non so cosa ci sia dentro. I cavi sono enormi e mantengono le pieghe, i connettori sono giganteschi, le telecamere hanno un sistema di fissaggio schifoso.
Il menù è la solita cosa scritta minuscola, si capisce poco, e non si configura praticamente nulla. Connessione wifi neanche provata, già vedere il menù mi è bastato per capire che almeno per me, è un oggetto inservibile.
Però sarà sicuramente molto robusta, e per questo gli concedo due stelle.
